Andy Greene is a husband, father, business owner and resident of the Great Northwest neighborhood in District 6 for over thirty years.  He and his wife, Lynda, have been married for thirty-five years and have three grown children.

Andy is actively involved in our community, serving his neighborhood association, volunteering in our schools and working with City Hall to improve District 6.

At City Council, Andy worked as a senior advisor and staff member to both former Councilman Ray Lopez and current Councilman, Greg Brockhouse.  He’s been involved in policy to build critical infrastructure projects and understands the needs of our District 6 community.

For over two decades Andy has given his time to Northside Independent School District.  As a member of both the Citizen Bond Committee and the Citizen Bond Advisory Committee, he helped develop NISD’s priorities for efficiently growing the school system and ensured multiple, voter-approved Bond Plans were delivered on time and on budget.  In our schools, Andy served on the Gifted/Talented and Enrichment Advisory Council and in several positions of the Taft High School Band Boosters.

Andy’s service to his own neighborhood of over thirty years includes being an active member of the Great Northwest (GNW) Neighborhood Association.  Having been elected to the Board of Directors and as the longest-standing member of GNWatch, Andy has worked to improve neighborhood safety.  Additionally, he currently serves on the Government Relations Committee and the A-Team.

Andy is a Certified Public Accountant and owns a small accounting firm.  He’s active in his church where he taught Sunday school for many years.  Andy remains a committee member of Boy Scout Troop 228, where his two sons, Michael and Jacob, attained the rank of Eagle Scout.
